CALIBRATION

Customers say that our tools are easy to calibrate and stay in calibration longer than other tools on the market.

Calibration is the cornerstone of quality when if comes to torque application. Unless the torque wrench has obviously been damaged, you can't look at a tool and know it is not within tolerance.

As members of the ISO torque committee, we support the ISO standard for calibration intervals. Typically that is every 5,000 cycles or once a year, whichever comes first.

If you want to calibrate your Sturtevant Richmont torque wrenches, we can help!

Sturtevant Richmont received our ISO 9002 registration on August 19, 1994, and ISO 9001 registration on May 8, 2001. Our continuous maintenance and improvement of our quality system has led us to where we are today; registered to ISO 9001:2015.

The milestones we have achieved since 1994 are just that - markers on a path that started more than 90 years ago and continues today. The quality of our processes, products, and services has been the hallmark of our name since we started this journey.

On October 21, 2003, the American Association for Laboratory Accreditation accredited Sturtevant Richmont to ISO/IEC 17025 and ANSI/NCSL Z540-1 in the field of calibration. This accreditation was renewed in every odd year from 2005-2023. The current accreditation is valid through June 30, 2023.

This official recognition of our competence in calibrating torque wrenches, torque screwdrivers, and torque tester that test with an accuracy of +/- .25%. This is in addition to our ISO 9001 registration. Technical excellence and very high levels of design and manufacturing competence have long been Sturtevant Richmont's strengths. They are two of the key reasons that so many customers stay with us for so long.

Many automotive, aerospace, electronics, and off-road OEMs rely on Sturtevant Richmont torque products in their assembly, auditing, and calibration operations. Whether your need is for the most basic torque wrench or the most sophisticated of integrated torque application systems, for the plant floor or the calibration lab, if it involves torque, Global Best Practices Committees agree that Sturtevant Richmont is the best choice.

Our 2021 A2LA Accreditation has been posted and is valid through June 30, 2025.
