Our Exacta Series Digital Torque wrenches come with your choice of a dovetail or fixed ratchet. Those with the dovetail have two options:

1. Traditional Pin and Spring Dovetail

2. Quick Change Dovetail

The difference between the two types of dovetails is simple. Click here to our explanation in the interchangeable heads for torque wrenches section.

In the past, we have shipped our Exacta wrenches with a Square Drive size that was appropriate for most applications in that particular torque range.

We found that most customers did not use the Square Drive that we supplied. Effective April 5, 2019, we will no longer supply a square drive with the Exacta 2 Series wrenches. This applies to:

  • Exacta 2 (Sans radio)
  • 1100 Series Exacta 2 (Radio equipped for Global 8 functionality)
  • 1200 Series Exacta 2 (Radio equipped for Global 400 and Global 400mp functionality)
  • 1250 Series Exacta 2 (Radio equipped for Global 400 and Global 400mp functionality)
  • 1350 Series Exacta 2 (Radio equipped for Global 400 and Global 400mp functionality)

Why the change? Customers have told us time and time again that their torque applications rarely require a square drive. Sturtevant Richmont torque wrenches equipped with a dovetail have the option of using more than 200 interchangeable heads that all fit on our dovetail.

You can use existing Sturtevant Richmont interchangeable heads or you can purchase new heads. Either way, they all fit on these wrenches.
