History
A History of Proud Innovation
It has been roughly 70 years since P. A. Sturtevant started making and selling torque wrenches. Along the way, the orginal beam wrench was added to with the dial torque wrench, and Frank Livermont ( the founder of Richmont) added many more torque inventions. When later combined under a single structure, the innovations continued.
Today we continue this proud heritage of innovation and sound engineering. Every year we extend the torque management concepts and technology into additional areas, and bring the benefit of their combination to our customers.
We are currently engaged in a small “side project” - pulling together and documenting details of our history!
